Dear Ron you haven't learn anything, you are sharing misunderstanding, There are NOT four cuts for Tower DL. I have added many posts over the years to have this image removed and if someone has ignorantly passed it on to ask them to delete it too. Unfortunately folk keep passing it on to others and have no idea what the image even means. Sharing this image is just the blind leading the blind.
Back on 28th Aug 2021 I put this put again at my Handcuff keys site.
Many years ago, I took a photo of 4 Tower keys side by side. The text that went along with it explained the image. As a locksmith, I wrote it as an academic piece. It explained the permutations possible from a three lever lock with a two increment change.
Each key was identified with a letter A-D and the keys had either no cut, or cuts in different locations.
I was aiming to show what Tower could have been done to increase the changes (mechanism and keys changes) like those of the 16 permutations of the Smith and Wesson 94 cuff.
This image has come back to haunt me. At first, I thought it amusing that the image was copied, shared and told to be a truth. However, in recent years people are now sending it to me. When I get inquiries about Tower keys, I am asked which of the four will fit there cuff? The sheer ignorance of people who copied and shared the photo without also coping the accompanying text is beyond me. It has lead to lots of current and new collectors being told the incorrect information, which they would surely pass on unwittingly.
I know that there is overwhelming trend for fake news, misinformation and alternative fact in some places in the world but surely most people like credible facts.
If you have this (now edited photo of Tower handcuff keys) please delete it, don’t pass it on and don’t tell others that there are four keys for Tower double lock handcuffs, it is not true and bad for handcuff collecting.
And here is another of my posts because I was startled to see you making the same misguided claim only a few months back about 4 Tower keys. .........It really amazing why some people are even on message boards. Some collectors are willing to put in the time into the hobby and then to help others. Most are just happy to sit back, do nothing and just gleam the information that others have assembled. Then there are few that don't learn, don't read and follow others post. Here is a great example.

Also my name came up and the photo of 4 Towers keys I had made years earlier. Edited picture at the beginning of this OP. Back story: The original picture and text was posted at the Handcuff forum in approx 2004. As I have stated before and at several other sites, people copied the my photo but not the text. They shared the photos and the misinformation it conveyed.
In the years that followed, I would get inquiries about which of the four keys someone might need for their Tower handcuff. I tried had to slow this ignorance and correct the situation by asking everyone to delete that photo and not pass it on.
I must have missed this when it was originally posted in 2022 but one person again mentions the '4 key photo' but fails to say that photo was misleading (without text) and should be deleted. Then this was posted as the follow up reply from a porn/restraint site. Its the actual photo I had asked to be deleted many times (but now edited, again) but adding to that, the gall to add Copyright, 2006 all rights reserved, for MY photo. The unethical behavior of some people is truly amazing.
