Movie handcuffs

I was watching an Alfred Hitchcock movie called “The Wrong Man” and in it actor Henry Fonda, wrongly accused of murder is placed in Tower double lock handcuffs as opposed to Peerless style cuffs but the movie was made in 1956 so supposedly NYPD was still hanging on to Tower at that date.
