single link handcuffs

i want to make a single link handcuff. im thinking of paying a welder to modify a new pair of peerless chain handcuffs for me or another brand. i have no welding skills. would like to learn but dont really have the time.

idea is to maybe cut both links and weld a new link or small o-ring to both sides of the cuffs. just want to make sure its clean and done right so the weld cant be compromised by human force. any suggestions?

These are made at a friend's shop. He uses connecting rings that he hand rolls out of stainless rod. Everything is tig welded and polished. More work goes into creating each set than you would think. No idea what a local shop would charge you to make a set like these? I have this set currently listed on Ebay for about $40. We can also make them out of any brand cuff that you want. This one is made out of a South Korean Yuil Handcuff, that I had laying around.

Hello Gues, FYI, I have a three cuff AHC set that Richard's friend made and they're flawless.  Obtained through eBay, and the transaction was similarly flawless.
