This collector won’t put prices on any of his items and it seems he is only taking offers. Then possibly selling to whom ever offers the most. I’ve never dealt with a seller like this in my lifetime.

Obviously he doesn't need to sell and he's gauging the interest by offers. It's not much different to eBay items with reserves. You might get bargains from deceased estates but a collector is not going to give up hard found quality items easily. If you make an offer close to what he thinks they are worth (or what he paid) then you might get lucky. My opinion was different. I was not lucky! 

I bought several cuffs from this seller.  The quality was extremely good.  After I made him an offer he countered and we made a deal.  Shipping was very fast and well packed.  He is on the slow side with his correspondence.  I would definitely buy from him again.

I have made several offers on several items, hoping to get a counter offer in return. No counter offers given. I was a serious buyer, as you all know. Hard to do business with someone who wont give any type of even a ballpark quote on the items they are selling. I put my offers in and received no counter offers. The deal is kind of dead in the water at that point. Very disappointed with this seller.

Richard that’s been my experience as well, however I did purchase his Clejuso long chain Darby cuff. May have overpaid but I kinda don’t care. I’ve never seen one for sale ever. Ron J

One thing I will state in support of this seller is that he is a collector from years ago. He has not kept up wit the current market value on restraints. So, he truly does not know what his items are worth. The only barometer he has to go by, is the amount that he originally paid for these cuffs, when he bought them, many years ago. Unfortunately, as we all know, the market for cuffs has not kept up. Instead, many of the cuffs he is selling have considerably dropped in price from when he bought them. Very few restraints have actually held their value over time and an even smaller amount has gained value. At this point, recouping what a collector spent on an older collection, is nearly impossible. I have watched the value of my own collection drop through the years. 

Since this seller only has the original prices to go by, our offers are going to seem very low to this guy. As stated above, I have made several offers to him, with no return of a counter offer. I know my offers are close to, if not dead on, for current market values. As many here know, I track auctions like a hawk! Making note of what certain items sell for. Another established collector has confided in me that he made the exact same offer for a set of Leg irons, that I had previously offered on. I would have loved to add that set to my collection, but it just wasnt meant to be. But, having two different people make the exact same offer, shows Im not far off from what they are worth to collector's, today.

Personally, I think a better way to have handled this sale, would have been to select a current collector and offer them the first pick of the bunch, with a discount, for providing current pricing for the cuffs in question. The prices of course, may be a bit high or a bit low. But, It would have given the seller a number to start with. Even if the numbers were a little high, it would have given a ballpark to start with. Just my thoughts on the subject. I am glad to hear that this seller is moving some of his collection and in turn, some great collectors are getting new pieces for their displays. I’ve been told by the collector that his collection is going to someone who knows today’s prices better. That person will be taking care of the sales of the collection in the near future. Not sure how this will help on sales and pricing but I’m hopeful. Ron J
