Takeda handcuffs era range?

What kind of time period do the infamous Takeda "toy-looking" actual police handcuffs actually belong to? I just won one. I can tell it's not the toy by the lack of rivets on the back, the welded chain links, though I am not sure what grade these will be. I heard there are brass ones and stamped metal ones. Not sure if the stamped metal are basically equal to the toy versions or if there are good quality "real" ones made from stamped metal.

These are sold as being "Rhodesia BSAP pair of Handcuffs, marked GS (Government Service)". I thought Africa had it's own handcuffs, so I was surprised to see what to my eye is a Takeda coming from there. If anyone has any further info on general date ranges of this kind of handcuff or anything on the GS mark in that diamond shape, I'd love to know. Thanks.

From memory the case of the original plated brass cuff is not folded. The first model's lock is made up from the laminations and not folded. You have what appears to me to be the one I first had back in the late 1970's . Can you show  a view of the edge of the cuffs as the materials got thinner over time.

I will show better pictures when I receive them. I only won the bid today and am curious. I have a modern one by "Kombat" which is basically the toy version. I had handcuffs like this as a kid in the 90s from the joke shop with no safety release or anything so I really hoped to win this to have a real one to compare. I am kind of looking forward to it!

I got mine today. See below for more pictures including the edges. They are magnetic, so not brass. They lack the exposed rivets on the back which the toy versions have, the chains are welded and the keyway is a nice cleanly and sharp clean shape. I have no keys but I have modified some toy keys to kind of work.

The only real markings are <GS> which is GS inside a diamond shape.

The weight is 278 grams. In comparison my Kombat modern "Toy" types of ones weigh 215 grams.

Edit: I just realised on the edge where the swivel is inserted it has a stamp "JAPAN"

I'm guessing that because they are steel body with brass bows means they are probably a later model? The seller acquired them from an ex Rhodesian BSAP member, so they should be older than 1980. I cannot find any easy to find info on the <GS> stamp. I am confused by them having a steel body though. I was very much expecting brass?
