Has anyone bought any new, or old and interesting handcuffs?

Since this is the handcuffs forum, I thought I would ask because I do like to see new content.

Recently picked up this miniature iron maiden. The spikes on the interior of the original are probably a 19th century addition, as you know. 
Mine is about 5 inches tall and appears well made, probably sold as a souvenir many years ago.  

That is an interesting find! What a neat little curio for on a shelf or a desk!

Richard, I have lurked for a while and decided to join in the discussion. Only recently learned of the Peerless Anniversay cuff and managed to pick up number 44 of 1000, still in sealed package.
This triggered interest in that vintage purple box. Does anyone know what period (years) that was used and which cuffs. I had only been familiar with the plain tan box from the 70's

Hey Randy, thanks for joining in to the forum! Congrats on your recent purchase! That purple/maroon box was only used for the 100th Anniversary set of Peerless handcuffs that was sold in 2014. They made and sold 1000 pieces and that was it. There is also a 95th anniversary cuff, made and sold in 2009, but the box wasnt as fancy. Just a standard gray box with a few extra stickers. When you start getting into the older Peerless cuffs, 1914-1950s, the boxes were a nicer 2 part box. They were thicker and better made than today's throw away boxes. There were different colors and different labels out there for different models and variations of cuffs, etc. There were boxes that were red-ish, blue, tan, brown to name a few. David Teeters sells a couple of books on Amazon in digital form. These books cover the early years of Peerless and the cuffs made by S&W. He shows a few examples of boxes and the cuffs that they came with. His books are great pieces to have in your reference library and are fairly priced.

Thanks to both Richard and Dave for the photos and descriptions. I will have to add some of mine soon. The gold plated 95th anniversary cuff is very unique and Dave's assortment of vintage boxes is impressive as a collection and preservation of history.
