In the early days of my collecting, I remember seeing what appeared to my at the time uninformed mind a genuine steel vintage adjustable darby leg iron. I purchased an early KUB-919 adjustable darby leg iron (with the round cross section) instead.
As a more informed collector years later, the only adjustable darby leg irons I've seen has been by Clejuso.
Are the "ones that got away" more likely to have been an Indian reproduction, or were there adjustable darby leg irons made by, say, Hiatt, Froggatt, RCS, Thompson etcetera?
