Considering that many of these bogus posts seem to be either about me, or planned to look to the simple minded like I may in fact be posting them, I agree this should be a password protected forum.

I have asked Joe to take a look into a few of these past posts as to their location of origin.

He has assured me he is aware I am not posting them.

I have said it before and will this one last time; this board is for the discussion of restraints and relevant subjects.

I do not consider myself to be one of them.

Take it outside folks!

I'm afraid I have to agree. I hope Joe will make it a member only forum, especially after all the postings I just saw. I don't mind typing in a password, and it would likely save Joe a lot of work deleting the garbage that is getting posted.

Sorry folks for all the spam. All the 25 or so spam messages that came in last night came from the same IP address:

152.163.100.68

That number is now banned along with a couple of others.

Several people have suggested that I turn on the registration feature of the forum. I do not like the idea, but I may have to do it very soon if this does not stop. I am quite certain that 95% of the spam messages that have shown up here in the last two weeks have come from the same person. So we are all having to suffer because of this one idiot.

I will wait a couple of days and see what happens, but another round will mean we go to registration and log-ins for posting.

The word is stupidity. It has reached epidemic proportions lately. Sadly, it all too often is an incurable affliction, the only viable option being to quarantine the carriers.

I did a reverse lookup of the domain and unfortunately, it is a major isp but still, they can track the person if a complaint is filed. If you go to the following link here http://www.networksolutions.com/en_US/w ... tid=699941

You will see the contact numbers and email addy's to complain about the individual.

I would like to know why my post was deleted off of this thread. Joe, do you have any explaination for this? If I have something to say, and I take the time to post my thoughts on this forum, I shouldn't be subjected to this kind of treatment. Please explain. Mike

I have been deleting many spam messages for the last two weeks.
If someones real post was deleted my mistake I apologize. The editing controls for the forum are not particularly convenient to use and mistakes can be made.
