Unknown cuffs

I’ve seen these around but I don’t know the manufacturer names. Any ideas?

I have seen some railroad locks that take keys like your Hiatt item but they most likely didn't cater to American railroad companies.
Maybe Hiatt made similar padlocks with screw keys as they hold up well in environment conditions and this was a master set.

You do an interesting take off of Bob Dylan, but Jenny from Forest Gump appearing as Bobby Dylan at a night club is quite a bit more to my liking.




Here are the 2 Figure 8's that I have, and I also believe them to be German as that is where I bought them.
I am not sure if these are the original keys, but they were purchased a few years apart and from different sellers, so maybe they are.
I don't think I've seen a square bolt version like yours.  The outside dimension of your key seems to be a bit smaller than the inside dimension of the lock body, so my guess is that it is a non-original key as it wobbles around too much.
I only know of about a dozen of these in other collections and wish the name of the manufacturer was known.
Never seen a catalog showing these so the mystery remains.

Ive seen a few of these figure 8's around and I really wish there were some names associated with them.
The one I just posted above this thread is another. I beleive it to be German but mine uses a triangular key and I have another German one that takes the same size key.
The one I got is bronze, so maritime usage probably.

Question on the idea of Marine use. Do items solely used and manufactured for these conditions have steel parts? Cabin locks are all brass , even springs (phospher bronze) that I have every worked on.
