ASP hinged release date?

I can not find a release date on this, does anyone have any info.

This could be intersting, has the Peerless patent on their hinge expired?

I think a major part of that patent was the ability to not only fold flat but to also expand to be folded over something like a belt.

From the picture, to me, it looks similar to the Peerless hinge.
