A key question...

Hi there,

Does anyone know anything about this key pattern? I got it together with some French handcuffs which makes me think it's of French origin. Is it possibly a key for Lyon Presto? Maybe it's not a handcuff key at all?

Hi It sure looks like a cuff key, but it is not to a Lyon Presto. A Presto uses a simple blade with a fine cut down the middle. The two equal cuts make contact and retract the two spring ratchets to allow the bow to open. Your key seems to operete a one or two lever style lock.

Then I know the key is not for the Presto but I'm happy you agree to the key looks like a handcuff key. I also checked Stan's CD but couldn't find a similar key.
