Lithgow Handcuffs

Hi to everyone,
are their any collectors of Lithgow Smallarms Factory, Handcuffs. This Company does not exist under this name any more, it is now ADI (Australian Defence Industries), the manufacturers of the Saf-Lok Handcuff.
Lithgow is in NSW, Australia.
I would be interested to hear from any collectors.

Hi Steve, Being Australian I have an interest in all SAF ( Small Arms Factory )handcuffs. After ADI purchased the company several years back, not much, actually no information is around on the history of SAF handcuffs. I do have a pair or the Peerless model 2 copy ( solid bit key) and the several original SAF-LOK handcuffs. The frames and bows of the new ADI SAF-LOK MKV are actually produced in New Zealand and the machining is done in Australia.

Hi I have a couple of pairs of Lithgow handcuffs but no keys anyone out there have a spare that they are willing to sell to me.

Peerless keys are the same, unless you mean the modern SAF-LOK.

If your cuffs are like the one Joe Lauher put the picture up on the comment above yours, these keys will work in your cuffs. Like Paul says, the use the same keys as the old style Peerless cuffs. This Ebay seller has a few still. https://www.ebay.com/itm/174973933527

I'd try and find an original key, rather than the Taylor pot metal ones. But they'd do for now.

Taylor keys are not zinc alloy ( 'pot metal' as Americans describe it) but malleable iron
