Searching for the value of some old cuffs

Hi. I hope someone out there can help me. I have some old cuffs, and I am trying to determine their approximate value. Here's what I know about them:

They are made by Peerless Handcuff Company. Based on the below information, Peerless has informed me they were manufactured November 23, 1945 and were sold to: P.B. Beheart Co., San Francisco, CA

They have a black finish and came in a black leather case made by G.F. Cake (out of Berkeley, CA).

They are chain linked.

A patent number is stamped on one side of each of the cuffs (1531451-1872857).

The other side of the cuffs (both cuffs again) has the Peerless name and location stamped on it
(line one = “The Peerless Handcuff Co.” line two = “Springfield, Mass.”)

One cuff, between the key hole and the chain, has a number stamped on it (187524).

None of the numbers have a “#” sign before them.

Regarding the keyholes . . . I’m not sure what a “key post” is, but the back of the cuffs (opposite where you would insert the key) has a small pin in it. There is a similar pin a little less than an inch away that goes all the way through both sides.

Does anyone out there know anything about these cuffs (history and/or value)?

My cuffs look exactly like the model 3 (1932) cuffs in your gallery. The previous owner was a police officer, and says they were issued to him in 1933. I'm not sure why Peerless' records indicate they were manfactured in 1945. I don't think the owner was off by 12 years in his memory or that I've been lied to, but I'm sure Peerless keeps good records. Anyway, the year they were made is a bit of a mystery right now. Hmm . . . . .
