#1I have acquired a pair of Mattatuck handcuffs from my Grandmother. They are from an 1820's Stagecoach Stop which my family owns. I can't find a patent date on them. They seem to be older than the ones on this site. Not quite as streamlined. The only other marking I can find is a number 1 stamped on the hinges. Does anyone know anything about these cuffs?
