recently I found this picture (I guess from the 1960ies) on the Web, that shows a nice lady wearing some quite tiny handcuffs. Does anybody know anything about this model? The handcuffs model, not the girl!

Judging from the picture, they look quite a bit like toy cast white metal cuffs which were sold in the 1960's/ 70's as part of a "Western Sherrif" kit. The kit contained a cap gun, a cheap holster, a badge, and these same cuffs. They do not lock with a key but instead snap and hold by friction at one end. They are hinged at the other and open like a non adjustable Darby handcuff although they are flat as opposed to tubular like a Darby. A good giveaway that these are what I describe is the figure "8" chain link in the middle which is not welded and can be twisted apart with very little effort. Regards, Steve Santini

hi atame, steve is right on the money, these were sold under the brand name "lone star", they also made cowboy cap guns too, i had one of these sets but mine had an adjustable peerless style of cuff, same link but not a swing through type, the locks were on the outside of the cuffs, three position released by a push across lever, hope this helps...
