I presume this is due to the laws in some Australian states preventing the public from purchasing handcuffs or handcuffs that cannot be unlocked without a key.

There have been many other handcuffs sold on ebay from Australia, including other Saf Lok cuffs. Looks like, as usual, ebay is not consistant in their policies.

Nor does ebay seem to do squat now about retalitory feedback. I bout a set of hnadcuffs and legirons from someone and the legirons were really banged up and missing the internal parts to one of the locks. And the seller says he doesn't know a think about it when it is obvious that one does not lock... and sticking to the line that he sold it a novelity...

Dorson, how about when they put a set of Tower handcuffs up for bid and one of the cuffs has the whole locking mechenism removed and missing, so they only disply it on one side? Cute trick aye? "I'm not sure if they work because I don't have a key........" Don't have a key??? What about the lock??? Maybe you don't know if they work because the lock is still with the missing key!!!

That happened to a guy I once knew and eBay stuck it to him as well. However, he did end up finding a junk pair that had a good locking mechenism that worked in the first pair. He Frankensteined them together to make one good pair.....(Frankencuffs). LOL! So, I guess everything worked out after all.

I saw that set of Tower's and they looked awfull... Like with most modern technology, it is a double edge sword. On one hand, it has made it easier to sell things to a much broader base of people. And on the other, there isn't enough accountability to those that abuse the system. I already this past week had one seller claim that S&W Mod.'s 100 and 103 are the same coupled with the photo is a generic photo that is fuzzy of the 100's instead of a photo of the actual item. To me that is fruad and to boot, and I had to file off the dings and dents that would cut skin and wire brush them to get the whole thing in operation.

Dorson, I don't think you saw the same pair of Tower cuffs I was talking about. These were sold on eBay many years ago, along with the junk pair mentioned. This guy had already bought both pairs and had made the one good set at the time I had met him. I think I saw the ones you are talking about....they actualy showed the big empty cavity in the cuff body. It is one thing if the photos show ALL of the damage and the seller doesn't try to hide it....at least you know what you are bidding on.

cheer bro,Ive got a set of handcuffs.....but Ive lost the bloody keys n its so hard to get the keys in,nz.Woz r,security officer in oz,working round,perth n up round pt hedland ways.Maybe u mite no wer i can git r set r keys 4 r.......made in aust,saf-lok-mk1 handcuffs,if not den I mite as well sell dem......no bloody good without keys aye?

The SAF-LOK can be opened without key I have done it several times, even with Handcuffs on the wrists.

Hello,

nearly everything can be done after lots of hours of studying and training.
Might Your first attempt on picking SafLoks have taken perhaps some hours with a poor suffering victim being SafLok cuffed who was waiting for his freedom?

I think criminals won't learn picking SafLoks before they might be arrested, and I think they are one of the most secure handcuffs produced.

Even harder to get picked / opened without key are the chubb escorts (if possible at all). (?) Other ideas?

I made $150 more for an unopened box of SAF hinged. If it's sealed and that is something someone wants, then it is no good to those folk as soon as you unseal it. (not rocket science)
