Hi all

I have been a member of this forum for a while but have not posted. LOL. Anyway, I live in Australia, have just started collecting cuffs and I also enjoy like lock picking.

So far in my collection, I has S&W 100, S&W 300, Republic Arms, cheap Pakistan/Indian darby imitations and soon a paid of ADI Saf-Lok.

Not a huge collection but we have to start somewhere.

Some states prohibit the possession and purchase of handcuffs. Fortunately I live in Western Australia where this is not the case. As far as whips go, I have no idea but I suspect it is no the case as I can buy them readily.

Thanks for whipping us back onto topic.

Ok, if anyone else has the Republic Arms Model 65 handcuffs, have you noticed some brown oxidation or possible flux around the joins ? It does not appear to be dirt as I cannot clean it off using water and soap.

I got these new so assume it is something in the way the manufacture these cuffs.

Sounds like that brown stuff is what we in the States call rust.

For some great advice on handcuff care, check the recent posts under Old Cop. There's a lot of good information scattered through it.
